I’ve unmasked the face of life – and survived & thrived despite its madness.
I rise from anguish with ragged clothes and unkempt hair.
Drifting like a ghost, feet barely tracing the rhythm of a beat gone bad.
In front of you, nothing to hide, guilty, innocent, tiny, naked, raw, balding, with scars and imperfections, turning myself inside out – hoping that this gesture will inspire you to go easy on yourself.
The world weighs you down with bad omens of wars and greed, soulless corporations, and unholy consumerism,
societies torn apart by hatred, fear, famine, walls, borders, poor and rich,
a wasted planet with burning forests, choking oceans, and creatures vanishing into thin air,
I do not care for the darkness; I know the light that pierces through.
With tears, blood & love, I am your prophet,
howling to wake you from nightmares of a planet teetering on the edge of catastrophe.
Let me take you to a better place.
